What is Science?

Science is the process of asking and then anwering questions. Science is at the center of our ability to learn. The process of learning requires all your senses and requires one to observe and explore his/hers surroundings. As one explores, questions are bound to come up. If you have the questions then you are driven to find out the answers to those questions. Scientists have a specific procedure called the "Scientific Method" to organize and report what and how the answer a question was reached. What you will find is that with every question you answer the door opens up on many more questions.  It then becomes a long term quest for knowledge. Science does not limit what you can investigate or observe and that is why Science is appealling to most every one. Middle Schoolers are the best Scientists because they are full of questions and all they need to be brilliant scientists is encouragement to find the answers to those questions they develop.
