Happy New Year!  Can you believe a snow day for our first day "back" causing us not to have school?  Yikes!  We'll have to make this day up later this year.  So, when your child hopefully returns to school on Tuesday, January 6, 2009, we'll begin wrapping up the second quarter (with only 2 1/2 weeks to go).  There will be no school on Monday, January 19, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday, and again no school that Friday as teachers have a grade day (it's not one of your child's 180 school days). Of course if your child is in the "Annie" musical, he/she will be invited in that Friday morning to practice with me here at Discover in the gym!

On-Line grades - Grades are posted on-line. Keep checking!

Students who have parents who check their grades on-line seem to do better in school than those whose parents don't check their grades. It's amazing the power we, as adults, have - when we can know day-by-day what assignments are due or should have been turned in. There should NEVER be the excuse, "I didn't know it was due!" from a student. Thanks so much to parents who continue to check on their child's grades - and who then demand that their child make up any missing assignments! You are the best!

 

How to Access Your Child’s Grades on the Internet   1.        Go to your internet site. 2.       Type in www.moseslakeschools.org 3.       Click on the gray “Student” tab. 4.       Scroll down to “Student/Family Access Website” (top choice).  Left click. 5.       Type in your log-in (alphakey). ______________________________ 6.       Type in your password. (web pswd) ______________________________ 7.       You can now change your log-in and password, if you so choose. 8.       On the left side of the screen you have options to view your child’s grades, attendance, etc. 9.       Note that there is a “Family/Student Web Access Tutorial”  button right beneath the actual website button, (#4), which will help you get through the website if you need help.
