Longview's Accelerated Reader test library is attached to this page.  Students can open this file and search to see if we have an AR test for their book and how many points that book is worth.

We will be using technology quite a bit this year.  For example, students will be using the computers in the classroom for many purposes.  They'll use the Internet to gather data, watch content connected multimedia, play learning games, and much more.  Students will also be using word processing and presentation software as well as mapping software such as Google Earth.

All computers computers come with a word processing program.  For example, Microsoft Windows comes with Word Pad.  Word Pad offers all the functionality that students will need this year.  However, not all computers come with presentation software such as Microsoft Power Point.

In my class, I use the free productivity suite called Open Office.  This suite offers all the functionality students will need, and best of all....it's free.  You can download Open Office for free at this site.  The Open Office site also has links to free tutorials.
