'Global Connections Challenge' Our classroom and learning community here at Longview would like to offer our thoughts and sympathies to those affected by the earthquakes in Haiti, Chile, and surrounding areas. We have met our goal to have at least one visitor to our web site from all seven continents (Yes, that means Antarctica too). We've received over 44 international visits so far (nearly 50% of those from the UK), WOW! Please spread the word about www.mrbarnett.com to everyone you know so they too can learn a little about us and what we're learning about. Thanks to everyone, we had visits from all seven continents before the end of 2009. Now that we've reached our first goal, we need your help reaching our next set of challenges: -A visit from all 50 US States (Super Point) -A visit from each Canadian province (Super Point) -A visit from each European country (Super Point) -A visit from China (Class Point) -A visit from somewhere in the Persian Gulf (Class Point) **Note to visitors** If you have a picture of where you live, or use Google Earth, save your location as a .JPG and email it to me, and I'll start a photo slide show of all of our visitor locations. This is an awesome way of showing how small our world really is. So far, a former teacher at Longview, Ms. Skaug, has sent us a picture of her new home in Germany. You can see Longview at the top of this page or in the slideshow. Teachers and classrooms who are visiting our site, please email me your classroom web page and I will add you to our Classroom Web Pages from Around the World links.
I would like to personally thank each visitor for contributing to our learning community.
Thank you,
Mr. Barnett jbarnett@mlsd.wednet.edu
