Letter From the Principal

Dear Parents,

Welcome to Frontier Middle School on behalf of the Administration, Teachers and Classified Staff that help make this building a great place for your children to learn and grow.  I look forward to working with your children and trying to get to know each kid personally over their three years here at FMS.

I encourage you as parents to stay involved in your child’s education by asking your student what is going on in their school day, checking our Skyward Family Access page to see how your child is doing in class, encourage them to get involved in all the clubs and activities offered at FMS, and communicating with his/her teachers to make sure that everyone understands the expectations for educating OUR kids.

Please contact us at the school if we can help facilitate things in any way.  Have a great year because know that we are going to have one here at Frontier!

Chris Lupo
Principal, Frontier Middle School

Online Testing Demos for New MSP Tests Now Available

In the spring 2010, the new Measurements of Student Progress (MSP) tests will replace the existing WASL tests.  In the first year part of the test will be offered online with the online amount increased each year (see online rollout schedule). OSPI is now offering online state testing demos to allow you the opportunity to see what the new tests might look like. The demos are available at www.WAtesting.com/online.

Computerized Assessments and Learning (CAL), the state’s online testing provider, has also developed student demos that demonstrate how the software is used for testing.

For questions about online state testing, please email Online.Assessments@k12.wa.us.
