Late Starts for

2010/2011 School Year 

For the 2010/2011 school year the school board approved at their April 8 meeting weekly late starts for students to provide collaboration time for school staff.   Over 30 years of research supports providing specific time for teachers to work together as part of a collaborative team where higher levels of student achievement are the direct result.

Late starts are scheduled for Monday mornings.  Additional information is available in the news article posted under News on the website.  The district will continue to send information and utilize multiple methods of communication to ensure our families are well informed, prepared, and have time to plan.  

 

Washington State Achievement Award

 

  

 

Lakeview Elementary was awarded a Washington State Achievement Award for overall excellence.  They were honored at a special ceremony hosted by the State Board of Education and the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).
